Questions people ask
Do I need a prescription to order?
For prescription medicines, yes — you upload it at checkout. A registered pharmacist reviews it and the chemist dispenses nothing until they have approved it. Over-the-counter medicines, wellness products and devices need no prescription.
Who actually sells me the medicine?
A licensed chemist near you. Medicine Now is the technology platform; the shop that accepts your order is the seller and the dispenser, and its name and drug licence number appear on your order.
Do you deliver to my area?
Enter your PIN code at the top of this page and it will tell you straight away whether chemists near you are open and taking orders, before you spend time building a basket.
How do I know the medicine is genuine?
It is dispensed by a shop holding a retail drug licence rather than picked from an anonymous warehouse, and the batch number and expiry date are recorded on your order when it arrives.
Will I be given a cheaper substitute?
Only if you choose one. Where a medicine with the same salts at the same strength costs less, you are shown it and you decide; nothing is ever swapped silently, and the pharmacist checks any substitution against your prescription. For medicines where the difference between brands matters clinically, no substitute is offered at all.
Do you sell narcotics or habit-forming drugs?
No. Narcotics, psychotropics and habit-forming drugs are not sold here. Medicines that may not lawfully be dispensed through an e-pharmacy are still listed, marked as not available online, so you know to take your prescription to a chemist rather than searching for them again.
Can I return a medicine?
For a short list of reasons — the wrong item, a damaged or expired pack, or an order that never arrived — within the window set out on our returns page. Medicines that need refrigeration cannot be returned once they have left the shop.
When do I pay?
When the order is confirmed by the chemist who will fill it, not before. If no chemist near you accepts it, there is nothing to refund.
